Description
Cisco Edge Routers (Edge Platform) is a series of network routers designed for data centers. It enables users to manage and incorporate custom packet processing engines (PPEs), handle up to 160 simultaneous threads, manage aggregated traffic from other WAN locations, branch and optimize applications for enhancing user experience, protect remote access for distributed workers, as well as optimize encryption-key storage and device-authenticity checks. Series include Catalyst 8500 Series Edge Platforms, Catalyst 8300 Series Edge Platforms, SD-WAN Security, and Catalyst 8000 Edge Platform Family.
