SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) is an SAP ERP Central Component (ECC)-based supply chain(ordering, shipping, billing, invoicing) management platform designed for sales and distribution sectors. It enables users to plan and execute the collection of steps involved in taking sales orders; perform availability checks and sales forecasts; create custom solutions and close the gap between the prepackaged application and the desired state; record sales activities through a web application or electronic data interchange; execute material or product availability check at the time of order creation. Modules include SD Master Data, SD Basic Functions, SD Transportation, SD Foreign Trade, and SD Sales Support.
