Description

Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) is a managed Kubernetes service designed for automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. It enables users to automatically manage the availability and scalability of the Kubernetes control plane nodes (responsible for starting and stopping containers, scheduling containers on virtual machines, and storing cluster data), and detect and replace unhealthy control plane nodes for each cluster. Features include managed control plane and worker nodes, eksctl launching, Windows support, load balancing, serverless compute, hybrid deployment, networking and security integration, logging, managed cluster updates, and support for advanced workloads.
