Description

Apache Livy is a REST solution designed for Apache Spark. It enables application developers to submit Spark jobs or snippets of Spark code, retrieve synchronous or asynchronous results, as well as manage Spark Context via a REST interface or an RPC client library. Features include multi-tenant submission of Spark jobs from web/mobile applications, support for Scala or Python, share cached resilient distributed datasets (RDDs) or data frames across multiple jobs and clients, multiple Spark Contexts, submission of jobs as precompiled jars, snippets of code, or via Java/Scala client API, and secure, authenticated communication.
