ASG Zeke is an automated job scheduler designed for z/OS and z/VSE environments. It enables users to dynamically schedule and dispatch events, monitor every aspect of the job schedule, optimize workload through real-time, logical, and physical resource control, streamline system efficiency and throughput by checking physical and logical resources before job dispatching, check step-level condition code through the use of the IBM SMF facility, and create, plan, and perform backups. Features include system command scheduling, automatic variable calculation and substitution, step-level condition code validation, workload balancing, forecasting and simulation management, and optional SMP/E support.
