Cilium is an API-aware networking and security solution designed for Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Google GKE, and Microsoft AKS containers. It enables users to define both network-layer and application-layer security policies based on the container or pod identity, balance application workloads, protect and secure the use of modern application protocols such as HTTP, gRPC, and Kafka, and manage the network connectivity between applications.
