Description
Cisco 4948 is a wire-speed, low-latency, and fixed-configuration switch designed for data centers and workstations. It enables users to manage and optimize service provider-grade hardware and software in a one-rack-unit (1RU) form factor, handle nonblocking server-to-server traffic with 176-Gbps aggregate throughput, handle microbursts with 17.5 MB of centralized buffering, control active queue management through dynamic buffer limiting for TCP throughput optimizations, as well as enhance manageability through eight bidirectional Switched Port Analyzer (SPAN) and Remote SPAN (RSPAN) sessions. Features include dual-stack IP Versions 4 and 6 (IPv4 and v6) support, quality of service (QoS) management, service-level agreement (SLA), smart flow logging, and Cisco NetFlow-Lite support.
