Description
Cisco Catalyst 6509 is a 9-slot chassis switch designed for data centers. It enables users to optimize performance for video and telepresence, accomplish traffic monitoring and security through NetFlow, encapsulate Remote Switched Port Analyzer (ERSPAN) for remote network analysis, analyze generic routing encapsulation (GRE) tunnels, automate system monitoring for integrated Generic Online Diagnostics (GOLD), as well as accelerate PoE support for devices such as Cisco Aironet 1250 Series Access Point. Features include support IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet [PoE], 10 Gigabit Ethernet capability, SPA interface processor support, 6000W power supply, policy-based automation, total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, and performance optimization.
