Description
Ericsson PPX (formerly Nortel Passport) is a line of multiservice switches designed for telecommunications carrier environments. These products are modular, enabling users to load components to control processors (CPs) and function processors (FPs) on an as-needed basis, reboot FPs without needing to take the entire switch out of service (in the case of software failure), and replace line cards while the system is hot, which minimizes downtime.
