HashiCorp Vault is a secret management tool designed for IT administrators. It enables users to read and write arbitrary secrets to the backend storage, generate dynamic and on-demand AWS access credentials, configure AWS secrets engine for authentication and communication, map policy document to a named role, generate and revoke credentials after 768 hours automatically, route client requests by specifying the address to advertisements, configure blogs and resource managers, as well as generate and authenticate tokens using an authentication mechanism. Features include storage optimization, S3 bucket accessing capability, data encryption, revocation support, ACL template support, workflow management, Azure Key Vault support, and replication management.
