IBM QSAM (queued sequential access method) is an unkeyed file and data control block designed for IT administrators. It enables users to port files between AIX-based systems, code DSORG and MACRF in the DCB macro, arrange records sequentially, and automatically manage aspects of I/O buffering. Features include buffer management, data conversion, queue management, virtual storage access method (VSAM), partitioned data set (PDS), and performance management.
