KubeEdge is an open-source native containerized application orchestration framework designed for DevOps teams. It enables users to run plugins and applications that depend on Kubernetes APIs on edge nodes, manage the communication between applications and devices for IoT and Industrial Internet, as well as write regular http or mqtt based applications. Features include app deployment, metadata synchronization, bidirectional communication, native support of x86, ARMv7, and ARMv8, device communication management, and cloud edge coordination.
