Kuma is a platform-agnostic open-source control plane designed for cloud-native applications. It enables users to determine the conditions under which service traffic should be shifted from one zone to another, secure, observe, connect, route, and manage service connectivity for every application and services, handle traffic shifting from one zone to another for disaster recovery, monitor the behavior of cross-zone traffic, automatically resolve the port of the destination service, and create service connectivity across hybrid architectures. Features include multi-mesh control plane, multi-zone deployment for multi-cloud and multi-cluster, policy management for all L4 + L7 traffic, and native integration with APIM solutions.
