Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 is an email, calendaring, contact, scheduling, and collaboration platform designed for deployment on the Windows Server operating system. It enables users to manage aspects of the mailbox and distribution groups, grant permissions to administrators and specialist users, perform bulk management operations for selected recipient types, connect to the local mailbox database using an Exchange remote procedure call (RPC) to retrieve messages, and track the detailed record of all message activity. Features include delivery reports, pipeline tracing, team collaboration, server health management, content conversion, and audit logging. Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 is preceded by Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.
