Description

MooseFS is an open-source distributed file system (DFS) designed for network and storage administrators. It enables users to build petabyte file systems, spread data over several physical commodity servers visible to the user as one virtual disk, perform one-node-at-a-time upgrades without disruption of service, manage the automatic backup and balance, handle security attributes and ACLs, modify the structure of the code, extend the storage of up to 16 exabytes, as well as save HDD space by maintaining the corresponding data redundancy levels. Features include performance management, x86-64 components availability, usability management, high data availability, big data support, and scalability.
