Oracle Global Data Services is an automated workload management platform designed for database administrators. It enables users to set and connect-time load balancing, replicate lag-based workload routing for Active Data Guard, gather performance metrics from databases, share network proximity (latency in the network), create run-time load balancing advisory and publish to the client connection pools, as well as monitor availability of database instances and global services and notify clients upon failure.
