Security Onion is an open-source Linux cybersecurity platform designed for IT security administrators. It enables users to perform security threat hunting, monitor enterprise security, manage logs, deploy distributed network sensors, and analyze files and events. Features include native alert queue dashboard, threat hunter interface, packet capture (PCAP), and Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Suricata, Zeek (formerly known as Bro), Wazuh, Stenographer, TheHive, Cortex, CyberChef, NetworkMiner, and other security tools included.
