AWS X-Ray is an end-to-end distributed tracing system (DTS) platform designed for developers and security administrators. It enables users to analyze the behavior of production and distributed applications with end-to-end tracing capabilities; detect issues by identifying performance bottlenecks and edge case errors; follow the path of an individual request as it passes through each service or tier; capture metadata for requests made to MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. Features include AWS Lambda support, trace sampling rate, service mapping, latency management, data annotation, and HTTP response status analysis.
