Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) (formerly Azure Container Service) is a fully managed container orchestration service designed for developers. It enables users to manage the hosted Kubernetes environment to deploy as well as manage containerized applications and eliminates the workload of ongoing operations and maintenance by provisioning, upgrading, and scaling resources on demand. Features include cluster maintenance, built-in application autoscaling, role-based access controls, open-source tools, CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) pipelines, and built-in HTTP routing.
