Description
Dell EMC Disk Library for Mainframe (DLm) is a series of Virtuent-based asynchronous tape drives designed for data centers. It enables users to share LPARs across local devices through the implementation of MTL, build NFSv3 access to a remote ECS system, emulate IBM tape drives and interface to the mainframe and direct tape data, configure IPv6 support and export NFS file systems, transfer and accept control information from channel command words (CCWs), as well as analyze disk platter through the Data Domain filesystem. Features include data deduplication capability, total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, performance management, AWS GovCloud support, 3590 tape emulation capability, data retention management, and S3 protocol support. Series include DLm8500 and DLm2100.
