It enables users to respond to changes in users, traffic, network, and backend health based on requirements; handle unexpected spikes by diverting traffic to other regions in the world; spread TCP traffic over a pool of instances within a Compute Engine region; balance HTTP and HTTPS traffic across multiple backend instances; monitor SSL certificates and decryption from a centralized location. Features include automatic multi-region failover, IPv6 global load balancing, WebSockets, protocol forwarding support, Cloud logging, and Cloud CDN integration.
