Features include providing availability, performance, and connectivity in a fully integrated universal storage and data services platform, deployment of applications within a new framework for tiered storage, business continuity, or to analyze storage infrastructure, consolidation of open systems and mainframe data onto fewer physical storage devices, and protecting investments and reducing the total cost of ownership by extending the useful life of existing storage systems.
