Description
Intel Nios is a series of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) integrated circuits and 32-bit embedded-processor architecture designed for computer systems. Features include joint test action group (JTAG) debug module, single-cycle hardware, custom instructions, external vector interrupt controller, advanced exception support, separate instruction and data caches, 4GB of external address space, optional tightly-coupled memory for instructions and data, six-stage pipeline to achieve maximum DMIPS (Dhrystone 2.1 benchmark) per MHz. Products include Nios II/f and Nios II/e.
