NVIDIA OptiX is a ray-tracing engine designed for NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs) and highly parallel architectures. It enables users to interactively examine the play of light, reflection, refraction, and shadow within real-world scenes on industry-standard hardware, streamline the tracing of rays for any task, simulate physically indirect lighting and reflection, optimize the enterprise workloads, develop realistic renderings, merge content from a project file with the current project, and automatically collapse multiple effects into fewer shader passes.
