Oracle GlassFish (formerly Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server) is an open-source Jakarta EE-based application server designed for application developers. It enables users to develop collaboratively (share code, product features, feedback and bug reports), manage the administration console, insulate from host failures or server crashes with session persistence, streamline security by hiding the internal network from the user, accomplish and determine diagnostic and troubleshooting information, as well as optimize performance by monitoring the usage of brokers and other messages. Features include load balancing, clustering, domain management, deployment management, per-request load balancing capability, client module management, and application client container (ACC) support.
