Description

SingleStore (formerly MemSQL) is a distributed, relational SQL database management system (RDBMS) designed for database administrators and data analysts. It acts as both a row store and a column store concurrently, enabling users to perform both traditional and real-time analytics, concurrently write and read from the same distributed system using ANSI SQL, and eliminate the need for additional data warehouse and ETL processes. Features include lock-free data structures, distributed, shared-nothing architecture, Hybrid OLTP and OLAP architecture, multi-version concurrency controls, lock-free skiplists, Azure Blob support, TCO optimization, user-defined aggregation capability, JSON function support, and encryption management. SingleStore can be run in Linux environments including on-premise, public and private cloud, via a Kubernetes operator, or as a hosted service in the cloud.
