Teradata Aster (formerly Aster nCluster) is a MapReduce and data store integrated analytic platform designed for data scientists and data analysts. It enables users to access, join and analyze multi-structured data from SQL interface, streamline the processing of data and applications, drive adoption of big data analytics, build R scripts to implement multi-genre advanced analytics, establish multi-structured data stored in Apache Hadoop, as well as execute workload-specific execution engines. Features include SNAP Framework support, data ingestion management, log format management, metadata analysis, and statistical analysis. Modules include Teradata Aster Database and Teradata Aster Discovery Portfolio.
