FIWARE is an open-source software framework that accelerates the development of smart solutions by providing a set of components and standard architectures. It connects to the Internet of Things (IoT) and offers Context Information Management and Big Data services in the cloud. FIWARE operates as a collaborative ecosystem, including a non-profit foundation, developers, innovation hubs, accelerators, cities, and over 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
