Futuremark Oy, founded in 1997 and based in Espoo, Finland, specialized in benchmarking software for various devices, including PCs, smartphones, and tablets. The company was acquired by UL in 2014 and rebranded as UL Benchmarks in 2018. It developed several well-known benchmarking tools such as 3DMark, PCMark, and Peacekeeper, which are widely used in the tech industry. Futuremark also created video games like *Shattered Horizon* and *Unstoppable Gorg*. Its benchmarks were utilized by major companies like AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA, as well as over 250 tech publications for hardware testing.
