Founded in 1987, ASI has focused exclusively on providing open architecture software solutions for Restaurant Manager™, its point of sale (POS) system to the food service and restaurant industry. In 1992, the demand for Restaurant Manager led ASI to develop a reseller network that now spans the United States and Canada. Over the next few years, these resellers generated a tremendous growth in sales that continues to this day. In 2002, ASI introduced a patented, wireless handheld POS solution that relies on handwriting recognition technology to create a simple POS solution as easy to use as a pencil and pad.
