Salish Kootenai College (SKC) is a private tribal land-grant community college located in Pablo, Montana. Founded in 1977 by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, SKC aims to meet the educational needs of Native American communities. The college became independent in 1981 and achieved accreditation in 1984. As a member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium, SKC focuses on self-determination and tribal sovereignty in education.
