About Michigan Unemployment Insurance Project

Non-profit law firm that works with volunteer law students to provide free representation to jobless workers in Michigan denied Unemployment Insurance benefits. . Through this project, law students are recruited and trained to give free help to unemployed workers who are filing unemployment claims and to those whose claims for unemployment benefits have been denied. Through offices in Detroit and Ann Arbor MiUI (pronounced "my u eye") currently serves 8 counties in Southeastern Michigan where a majority of Michigan's jobless workers live. By assisting these individuals in obtaining unemployment insurance benefits, MiUI helps struggling families, stressed communities, and Michigan's economy.
