Reprieve is a nonprofit human rights organization with branches in the US and UK, dedicated to addressing extreme human rights abuses through legal action, investigation, and advocacy. Founded in 1999 by Clive Stafford Smith, the organization focuses on defending marginalized individuals affected by state-sanctioned abuses, including unlawful detention, torture, and capital punishment. With a team of 50 staff members and fellows in various countries, Reprieve works globally to promote justice for vulnerable populations.
