The original Austin Market Research is no longer in business. In October 2013, significant operating funds were discovered missing. An investigation revealed that the former CEO had misappropriated company money for personal use without informing management, shareholders, or accountants. As a direct result, the company collapsed financially and lost its focus group facility and talented staff before the winter holidays of 2013. Due to what transpired, the other remaining shareholders do not endorse any reorganization of Austin Market Research.
