About Langston University

Langston University is a public land-grant historically black university (HBCU) located in Langston, Oklahoma. Established in 1897, it is the only HBCU in Oklahoma and the westernmost four-year public HBCU in the United States. The university operates multiple campuses, including its main rural campus and urban centers in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Ardmore. Langston University is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and was recognized as a Carnegie Research College and University in 2025.
