Description

Azure Virtual Network (vNet) is a virtual private network management platform designed for network security professionals. It enables users to create custom private IP address space using public and private (RFC 1918) addresses, segment the network into one or more sub-networks and allocate address space to each subnet, execute multiple virtual networks in Azure subscription and Azure region, access an on-premises SQL Server database or authenticate customers, as well as filter traffic to and from resources by source and destination IP address, port, and protocol. Features include WAN optimization, Border gateway protocol (BGP) routing, broadcast optimization, CIDR subnet support, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) support, Azure ExpressRoute support, DDoS protection, and Network Watcher support.
