Description

Canal is a policy-based networking solution designed for application developers. It enables users to deploy Calico and Flannel networking together as a unified networking solution, configure L3 network fabric designed for Kubernetes, allocate a subnet lease to each host out of a larger, preconfigured address space, store the network configuration, the allocated subnets, and any auxiliary data, as well as manage service-to-service networking communication between distinct Kubernetes clusters. Features include route distribution, pod-to-pod networking between clusters, external datastore, network segment management, and policy isolation.
