Medisch Centrum Leeuwarden

Medisch Centrum Leeuwarden (MCL) was a prominent hospital located in Leeuwarden, Friesland, established in 1982 through the merger of three local hospitals. It operated as a top-clinical teaching hospital until its merger with Tjongerschans Hospital in January 2025, forming Frisius MC. The main campus featured 647–653 beds and included a secondary site in Harlingen, along with a helipad for emergency services.
