Established in 1975, SEARHC is one of the largest Native-run health organizations in the U.S. It operates under the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act and manages the Community Health Aide Program. Headquartered in Juneau, SEARHC serves 27 communities and employs over 1,700 individuals.
